Quants 'n' Ends
Colorzilla is an outstanding little add-on for Firefox if you do any web development at all...it basically gives you an eyedropper tool in your browser window, so you can sample any pixel in the window. That's aresum.
AdAge's monthly most-like, most-recalled TV spots is pretty fun to keep an eye on what people like, TV ad-wise. I always like the ones where someone gets popped upside the head. The top ad in this month's list is awful though...the talking turtle "Frutista" spot for Taco Bell. I literally change the channel when that comes on. Two separate Honda spots make it on the list: the "Bison" spot, and the "Nudists" spot, both for the Pilot campaign. Nice job there! I can't seem to find any of the spots in the usual video-sharing sites, so I'll pass on that one for now. Typing "Honda Bison" into Youtube gets a lot of old Streetfighter II videos with M. Bison and E. Honda battling for supremacy.
Here's a little tutorial on building a Hangman game in Flash, using Actionscript. I need to brush up, I'll run through that tute and post my results. John's our Flash madman here...my flash skill end at making the simplest banner ads.
