When NCTD came to us with a problem, we came up with a solution so cool they couldn't find a traditional surface to display it on. The new SPRINTER Commuter train (that we helped name and launch as well) was coming on line soon, and NCTD wanted to reach out to Cal State San Marcos students to increase ridership. The problem? They didn't have much money. And college students are pretty inured to most forms of advertising (the average American kid may watch up to 40,000 ads a year!). So what can we do?

Well, we took the billboard off the board and put it on CSUSM's stairs.

This totally unexpected placement for an ad brought a torrent of comments and excitement, and generated great buzz about the SPRINTER, at a tremendous value for the dollar.

Just another case of Quantum's constant quest to redefine outdoor advertising.
