enemy of good enough

Getting it done...one way or another

Last week was another nvts week here at the Enemy of Good Enough.  We faced adversities such as: the death of our Designjet 500 (which we rely heavily upon), UPS forgetting a pickup, velcro becoming needle+thread becoming staples, and the distraction of NBA Playoffs.

We got it done, however, like we always do.  Here are some photos that pretty much sum up our ethos here:

New Production Room

In the true style of the enemy of good enough, we just created our own production room at Quantum. More and more clients have needs for video and audio applications as part of their marketing mix. The web, in particular, is calling for more and more video, especially since we all discovered that video helps seo. And then there's YouTube. Everyone wants something there too. Oh my has marketing changed. I guess it's always changing. That's a good thing, especially for those who can change with it.

Plus, Videos are making a comeback as a presentation form. One of our high tech clients (PowerGenix) requested a new video for use with the press, their web site and for presentations.

With all the needs, we decided it would save us time, save our marketing clients money and be overall more efficient to create our own studio. We converted a spare office by soundproofing the walls and floor. For video, we're turning the back wall into a green screen by simply painting it (the proper) shade of green. This was, when we shoot video in there, we can easily key any background we want into the scene. It gives us ultimate flexibility.

We just cut some video introductions in the room, for sport science lab (www.sportsciencelab.com) and a couple of voice overs for fitness DVD's we're producing for them. It went very well. The sound we recorded is studio quality.
