Helio Power is one of the top solar installers in California, and solar energy is a superb solution for our environment and energy crisis.
However, with the current economic conditions, it is quite a challenge to afford solar power for the home. The reason is that many people use the equity in their home to finance solar. And we all know only too well how difficult it is to get re-financing for home loans right now.
Some cities, Palm Desert for example, have taken the initiative to do something to help. Their Energy Independence Program is a model initiative for cities in California. Based on AB 811 legislation, the program works to support energy efficiency and renewable energy installations financed through city loans which are paid back through property tax assessments.
Now enter the concept that neighbors are heavy influencers over other neighbors. We all know the expression "Keeping up with the Joneses".
The coupling of these two circumstances gave birth to Helio Power's "In Your Town" program which we are promoting as the latest, most viable to sell solar energy.
We feature this concept prominently on the new site we just designed & launched for Helio. The hope is to alert everyone in participating towns/cities about existing programs. AND...to help spread the word to citizens to motivate their city to get involved.
It's a unique approach to marketing solar–and one that has a serious chance to make a serious impact.
